Game 14
Redskins 22 Giants 10
Another big nationally televised home game for the Giants, a chance to prove to the entire country that this team is a playoff bound hungry team hoping to make some noise. Another national embarrassment. Once again the Giants sh*t the bed in a big game. They are now 3-4 at home, and will finish 3-5 once the Patriots head back to Foxboro on December 30th. It's pretty sad that they have a losing record at home.
The weather conditions were nasty. Wind gust of over 30mph. This game called for a power running game with short intermediate passing. Our brain dead coaching staff threw the f*****g ball 52 times. Many times they threw long on 2nd or 3rd and 1. You have a quarterback that has accuracy problems on a calm balmy day and you have him throw long into the winds of a Nor'easter. I have had it with this coaching staff. Gilbride your a f*****g idiot, where's Buddy Ryan when you need him. We have a running back that is a beast at 265 lbs, feed him the ball.
The defense didn't play that well either, they let the Redskins move the ball with a guy playing quarterback whose last start was ten years ago.
Mr Tynes this is your home stadium your suppose to make the easy kicks. You miss from 29 yards away, while the other guy who isn't familiar with the wind conditions nails one from 50 yards away, pathetic.
Eli Manning takes a lot of heat in this column and many of the New York papers. In his defense he didn't play all that bad. He was told to throw long into a fierce wind, where even the best of quarterbacks would have problems. His receivers had a total of nine drops. Nine drops this is totally unacceptable. This loss is on Tom Coughlin and the clown Gilbride calling the plays. Jeremy Shockey was third player this season to suffer a broken fibula bone in his leg. He is lost for the season. Gilbride doesn't throw to the tight end anyway so the rookie Kevin Boss will have to pick up the blocking.
The Giants at 9-5 find themselves a lot worse off now. Instead of clinching a playoff birth Sunday by beating the Redskins, they gave the Redskins new life. If the Giants go to Buffalo this week and lose they will need help to get in, unless of coarse they beat the Patriots the final week and that isn't going to happen. A win this week against the playoff eliminated 7-7 Buffalo Bills and the Giants will clinch. If they lose again this week they don't belong in anyway. Then hopefully Mara and Tisch will have the (testicles) to fire the entire coaching staff except Spags and rebuild this team around him.

Game 13
Giants 16 Eagles 13
It wasn't pretty but the Giants won their sixth consecutive road game in Philadelphia on Sunday. With the 2007 sweep of the Eagles the Giants improved their record to 9-4. Winning in Philly, the slum of the NFL has too be a huge confidence boost for the Giants, something they will need in the playoffs as the road team.
Once again the offense wasn't consistent, but in the end they did enough to win. Eli Manning didn't throw any of his ugly interceptions, but his accuracy was once again off. He missed a wide open Shockey in the end zone, throwing about 5 yards away from him. Burress had a huge day, maybe the ankle is getting better. He caught a nice touchdown from Manning for the go ahead lead. Brandon Jacobs returned as the Giants featured running back, and did not play well. He did have one big run late in the game that would have sealed the deal ,except he fumbled the ball away to the Eagles. The Giants had better stop turning the ball over, or it's going to cost them a ball game, especially in the playoffs.
Special teams play was good, Tynes connected on all three of his field goals. The return coverage was good, they didn't give up any long returns.
Once again the Giants defense won the game. After allowing the Eagles to score on their opening drive, the defense shut them down. The Eagles played with all their starters this game so they have no excuse about injuries. Brian Westbrook was held in check for most of the game. Way to go Spags, once again your defense carried this team. Congrats on sweeping your old team.
This week the 6-7 Redskins come to Giants Stadium on Sunday night. A win at home this week will probably lock up a playoff spot for the Giants. The Redskins like the last two opponents are fighting for their playoff lives, they will give the Giants everything they have. A loss to the Giants pretty much ends their season, this is their playoffs. Fans going to the game should take note, the Giants are once again wearing their alternate red jerseys. I guess Christmas sales are down, since they always lose to Dallas when they wear them.

Game 12
Giants 21 Bears 16
The Giants won a game in Chicago Sunday that they were very lucky to win. The three main reason why they were able to win this game, Eli Manning after playing his usual terrible self for nearly 54 minutes was able to step up and lead the Giants on two touchdown drives in the final 6 minutes, the Giants defense played exceptionally well keeping the Giants in the game and Rex Grossman is probably even a worse quarterback then Eli Manning.
The Giants offense played terrible for three and a half quarters, blowing scoring opportunities with turnovers. Derrick Ward was the only bright spot rushing for over 150 yards before breaking his fibula. Now unfortunately he is done for the year. Hopefully Brandon Jacobs returns this week and can stay healthy for the four plus remaining games to the season. Eli Manning continues too throw bad interceptions, he had two in this game plus a fumble, Ouch! He needs to pick up his game and fast. He had the Giants down too the Bears one yard line, and on third and goal he throws a pick, inexcusable.
The Giants defense played outstanding all game sacking Rex Grossman six times. The only bad play of the day was when Devin Hester got deep down the middle on them and was wide open for a score, but Grossman put it over the other shoulder and the ball bounced off his pads incomplete. Bear fans I feel your pain. The Giants defense had too keep us in the game, with the offense committing four turnovers. Nice job Spags.
The special teams play was decent. The big thing was they kept the ball away from Devin Hester in the return game. Tynes had two kickoffs go out of bounds though in doing so.
At 5-7 the Bears won't be returning to the Super Bowl this year, "Stark Stick" a fork in them their done.
This week the Giants travel down the New Jersey Turnpike to play the 5-7 Eagles at the Stinc. The Eagles playoff hopes hang by a thread. The Giants need too win this game. As a road team in the playoffs there is no better place to practice being a road team then that sh*t hole in Philly with their a$$hole fans. If the Eli Manning we saw play for most of the Bears game shows up we will not win. On the other hand if he plays an entire game like the last two drives of the Bears game we could blow them out. We shall see.
